About Blackfoot & Joejoe

Blackfoot & Joejoe are a bonded pair of large senior tuxedo cats who have been through a lot of change but are still gentle at heart. Born on February 17, 2016, these brothers first lost their home, then their human family, and finally found themselves surrendered to a shelter. They were shy and withdrawn at first, preferring to hide in boxes and blankets for comfort. With patience and consistency, both boys started to feel safe again—Blackfoot came out of his shell first, followed by Joejoe a bit later. Both love their food and will speak up when mealtime arrives, but most of the day, they are a quiet duo who find comfort in each other's company. They are friendly once they trust you and enjoy being petted, but can still be cautious and need a calm environment to truly settle. Blackfoot is more outgoing, while Joejoe takes things at his own pace. The two are deeply bonded and must be adopted together. They seem tolerant of seeing other cats but have not interacted closely, and there’s no history of dog interactions. Due to their timid nature and recent traumas, they are best suited for a home with no young children; quiet, older kids may be fine. Their adopters should be patient and set them up in a single quiet room at first, providing plenty of time and space for them to decompress and regain confidence. Both cats are currently working towards healthier weights after being overweight. If you're looking for a pair of gentle, bonded cats ready for a new, peaceful chapter, these boys may be the ones. They’re both Pisces—known for being sensitive and gentle souls. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
