Hank is a 6-year-old neutered male Yorkshire Terrier/Silky Terrier mix with a medium coat in gray, blue, and tan shades. He is house trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, and currently living in Buford, GA. Though on the heavier side at the moment, Hank is in good spirits and ready to start his journey toward a healthier future.

About Hank

Meet Hank! This sturdy, medium-coated little guy landed at the shelter as a stray, and surprisingly, nobody ever came looking for him. Judging by his great manners, gentle nature around the house, and, yes, his round shape, it's clear he was once someone's cherished companion. Currently, Hank is on the chubby side and needs a dedicated adopter to help him shed those extra pounds so he can enjoy a longer, healthier life. Some recent lab work came back a bit off, but vets suspect it's just tied to his weight—and with some healthy changes, there's reason to believe he’ll bounce right back. Hank has another vet check on June 19th, and the rescue will cover that appointment no matter what. If a family comes along who’s willing to keep up with his walks and stick to a healthy diet, he could head home sooner. In his foster home, Hank’s been easygoing and friendly with other dogs, cats, and every person he meets. He’s happiest just being around people. With his gentle spirit and happy temperament, he fits right in almost anywhere. If you think you can help Hank on this next chapter, he’s waiting in Buford, GA.
