About Yum Yum

Yum Yum’s start wasn’t easy—he landed in the county shelter in December 2024 as a stray, but got back to his original owners thanks to a microchip. In the spring, he turned up again, but this time with his left eye painfully damaged and had to be surrendered. Thankfully, his foster acted quickly and saw him through surgery to remove the eye and get his teeth sorted. Visually, he’s now got just the one functioning eye, but it’s mostly blind. That hasn’t fazed him at all; after a couple days, Yum Yum memorizes his new surroundings and goes in and out like it’s second nature. Not bad for a 6-year-old who’s weathered neglect and some hard luck. Yum Yum is a brindle, medium-coated purebred Yorkshire Terrier (yes, we know that’s not a classic color, but he’s unique). He’ll be professionally groomed this week, so he’ll be looking sharp for his new chapter. He’s easygoing around other dogs and has a habit of cocking his head when you speak to him, which makes him impossible to resist. He’s ready to give someone his signature mix of love, loyalty, and humor. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
