Rudy
AvailableRudy is a small, neutered male poodle mix around 1 year and 1 month old, currently in Dunwoody, GA. He is vaccinated, does well with other dogs and cats, and is crate trained. Rudy would do well in a home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard, especially with someone who has experience with poodle or doodle types.
About Rudy
Rudy is a sweet poodle mix who came to rescue from a tough start in a hoarding environment, arriving alongside his brother and several other dogs. About a year old, Rudy is gentle and sensitive, more reserved than his brother—he prefers to observe other dogs at play rather than jump in himself. He’s crate trained and does well with other dogs and cats, but what he really needs is an experienced poodle or doodle adopter, ideally with another adult dog and a fenced yard so he can settle in and learn how to just be a dog. Rudy may not have had the chance to experience a proper puppyhood, but he’s ready to start now in the right home. While Rudy is a poodle/doodle mix, there’s no guarantee he’ll be allergy-friendly. He’ll thrive with patient adopters who understand sensitive dogs and can help him feel safe. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Rudy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Poodle mixes like Rudy are often happiest in homes with attentive companionship and a structured routine. Rudy would do best with an adopter experienced with poodles or doodles who can offer a calm, supportive home alongside another adult dog.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
While small poodle mixes don’t need acres to roam, Rudy will thrive with access to a secure, fenced yard where he can explore safely. Regular outdoor time helps him gain confidence and enjoy play at his own pace.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Poodle mixes usually get along with children, but Rudy’s reserved and sensitive nature would be best supported by a quieter, adult-focused home.
