About Meeps
Meeps is a two-year-old Chihuahua who has already proven herself to be one tough little survivor. Found alone and unable to use her back legs, Meeps never lost her affectionate, loving spirit. Even after a rough prognosis, she surprised everyone by gaining the strength to walk again, though she still slips on slick floors from time to time. Her determination shines through every day as she learns what she’s capable of. Meeps bonds closely with her people and has a knack for making her presence known—her signature 'meep meep' sounds are both endearing and effective. She’s gentle with her affections, loves burrowing into any soft spot she can find, and insists on sleeping in the big bed with her humans. Meeps gets along well with other dogs, although she believes she’s much larger than her 9-pound frame suggests, so she does best with small or respectful canine friends. With cats, she barks from a distance but keeps things gentle up close. Occasionally, she has minor accidents, so her adopter should be patient and ready for a few surprises, but her progress keeps getting better. Meeps doesn’t dwell on her past—she embraces each day with joy, humor, and spunk. Someone who appreciates her resilience, sense of humor, and zest for life will find a wonderful companion in her.
