About Kay Kay
Kay Kay—nicknamed Kangaroo Kevin—lives up to her name with her spring-loaded energy and hilarious antics. She’s a one-and-a-half-year-old female Kelpie mix, around 25–30 pounds, with a short black and tan coat and a knack for bouncing everywhere she goes. Her foster calls her the family clown, quick to leap up for playtime, backyard zoomies, and affectionate roughhousing with other dogs. She’s a fan of Benebones, thrives in social settings where there’s fun to be had, and genuinely tries to be wherever the action is. Kay Kay is house and kennel trained and gets along well with both big and small dogs as well as cats. She’s sweet-natured, full of life, and genuinely affectionate. Because she’s a young herding breed still learning her boundaries, she isn’t the right fit for a home with young children. Kay Kay feels safest and happiest with another playful dog and a fenced yard for daily play sessions. While she’s relaxed at home and in the yard, she’s still gaining confidence on-leash in busier public spaces, so she’ll thrive with a patient adopter who can help her keep building on that progress. She recently finished heartworm treatment and is cleared for adoption—ready to jump into her next big adventure. A family with a yard, a playful canine buddy, and an appreciation for a little goofiness would be ideal. If you want an agile, loving pup who brings laughter and energy every day, Kay Kay is waiting in Gulfport, MS. Click apply to start the adoption process.
