Jake is a 6 year old hound mix who was surrendered when his family could no longer care for him. He is always smiling and approaches life with a happy disposition and a wagging tail. Jake is a typical hound in that he sniffs everything in the yard and on his walks. He loves to play ball and chase toys, and his leash walking skills are good. Sometimes he gets a little too excited and pulls to follow a scent but a quick reminder about his manners brings him right back. According to his previous owner, Jake is good with cats, dogs, and children so he would be the perfect addition to a family. At 6 years old, he is beyond the puppy craziness and has a lot of energy to tackle any adventure. Hopefully that family will adopt him soon. The shelter has an appointment only policy.
