Finn
AvailableFinn is a large, young adult male Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler mixed breed with striking black and white/cream fur. At just over a year and a half old and living in Cheyenne, WY, he is neutered and has received all his vaccinations. Finn gets along well with both dogs and cats. With his training underway, he's ready for a home where continued learning is encouraged.
About Finn
Finn is just finishing up an intensive 9-week training program, working on routines like 'sit', 'wave', and 'pray' with his dedicated prison trainer. Those new skills stick best when adopters keep practicing them regularly. He’s come a long way but still needs time and patience—especially when it comes to things like car rides and doorways, which can make him nervous. You’ll need a pocketful of treats, some gentle encouragement, and a willingness to be consistent as his confidence grows. Finn gets along well with other dogs, especially females, and enjoys running and playing like any young pup should. He’s mostly relaxed around cats though, if he’s feeling playful and left unsupervised, he might get a little rough. Snacks are his biggest motivator, so you can keep working on his training and manners easily. Finn has spent a lot of time in shelters, but he’s ready to finally find someone who sees the promise in him and will help him feel truly at home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
