About Thea
Thea is a resilient sweetheart who hasn't let tough luck take away her spark. She has a real knack for making herself at home and brings a loving, cheerful presence everywhere she goes. Even after losing a front leg, Thea gets around well and easily fits into daily life—she just needs a home with minimal stairs so she’s not straining herself. Thea’s backstory is tough, but it hasn’t made her bitter. She spent her early years in a loving family, but after a household shakeup, landed in a house overloaded with dogs. When her owner could no longer care for her, she ended up needing help—by then with a badly broken leg. Amputation hasn’t slowed her down much, and these days, she’s thriving in a nurturing foster home. Weighing in at 50 pounds and about five and a half years old, Thea looks to be a Boxer/American Staffordshire mix, sporting a short coat and that classic boxy face. Her energy level is pleasantly low to moderate. She keeps good manners, enjoys relaxing on the couch, and generally just wants to be close to her people. Thea is a calm presence, not reactive on leash, and crate and house trained. She gets along beautifully with other dogs—big and small, male and female. She’s lived happily with kids, including infants, and remains gentle and tolerant even with the little ones. She’s even polite with testy cats, never giving chase. Short walks suit her just fine, given her three-legged status—she’s content hanging out at home and needs to be lifted in and out of vehicles. Thea is quiet, rarely barks, and can easily be your favorite cuddle buddy after a busy day. Thea is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on preventatives. She’s currently being fostered by a dog trainer in Vancouver, WA, with her adoption fee including a free wellness exam at select partner clinics. Ready to fall in love? Questions about Thea
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
