Benji is a small, playful Yorkie/Chihuahua mix around three years old. He’s friendly with dogs, cats, and kids, and he genuinely enjoys being part of a household where people are around most of the time. Benji does well with a consistent schedule—he's housebroken when taken out regularly, will use a belly band if needed, and knows his way around a crate. He’s happiest with both regular leash walks and playtime in a secure, fenced yard, especially when it involves squeaky tennis balls. Benji is affectionate and loves to snuggle, but he gets anxious and vocal when left alone. His foster stresses he should not be left for long stretches—Benji will do best in a home where his people are home often and neighbors won’t mind occasional barking. Adopters need to be local to his foster in Cherry Hill, NJ, willing to host a meet-and-greet with everyone in the home (pets included), and able to give structure and ongoing training. His foster asks for at least two quiet weeks for Benji to settle in before visitors come over—he needs time to bond and adjust at his own pace.
