About Hope
Hope is a 10-month-old mixed-breed dog with Labrador Retriever and possible Redbone Coonhound in her bloodline. Abandoned as a puppy on the side of a Texas road, she’s proven to be a survivor with a gentle, patient spirit. Outlasting tough odds, Hope has moved from hardship to opening up with affection and trust toward those she meets. She’s about 45 lbs now and will likely land between 55 and 70 lbs full grown. Her short, golden-to-reddish coat suits her athletic, sturdy build. Hope’s personality centers on her deep loyalty and a longing for connection, but she needs a little grace while finding her feet in new environments. She loves other dogs and does her best when she has a canine buddy or two. She gets along with cats as well and will do fine with mellow, dog-savvy kids who understand she’s been through a lot. Hope is house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. She adapts with time and patience, and after a few weeks in a calm space, her true sweet self shines. What she wants most is a steady, understanding home ready to commit to her. Hope is waiting in Amarillo, TX for her new people. Give her the kindness and security she’s ready for—and see how far she can bloom. Click apply to start the adoption process.
