About Janey
Janey is about 7 to 8 months old and weighs around 40–45 lbs, likely filling out to be a solid medium-large adult. She didn’t have the easiest start in Texas, but foster living has brought out her easygoing, well-adjusted nature. Outside, she’s lively—tennis balls, splashing in the kiddie pool, rolling in grass, or keeping tabs on bugs keep her busy. Indoors, Janey is mellow, content to settle on the couch or dog bed nearby, never demanding but happy to be with people. She gets along very well with other dogs, matching play styles and knowing when to wind down. She’d do well either as a solo dog or with a canine friend. Janey can be reserved with strangers at first but quickly warms up, especially when treats are involved. Give her a little time, and she’ll show off her goofy, affectionate side. Janey is food motivated, making training a breeze—she knows sit, touch, comes to a whistle, and is learning down. She is spayed, crate trained, housetrained, and vaccinated (DHPP, rabies, and bordetella). Vet-cleared and ready for her next adventure in Amarillo, TX. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
