Hi there! My name is Celeste and I'm a 1 year old Female Chihuahua Mix currently living at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home! Celeste is a darling one-year-old Chihuahua with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. While she may be a little shy when meeting new people, she blossoms quickly when given a calm, patient introduction. Once she decides you're part of her circle, she'll happily greet you by bouncing up to say hello and showering you with affection. In her foster home, Celeste has proven to be an easy and delightful companion. She is completely housetrained with no accidents and has an excellent routine. She sleeps soundly through the night and settles comfortably in her cozy bed inside her crate, which she views as her safe space. After walks, potty breaks, or whenever she needs a little confidence boost, you'll often find her happily retreating to her crate for a quick reset. Celeste gets along wonderfully with other animals. She enjoys the company of her foster dog sibling and communicates appropriately while remaining very tolerant and respectful. She also lives peacefully with a senior cat, showing curious but polite interest and often sneaking in a gentle sniff when she thinks the cat isn't paying attention. Once Celeste feels at home, her fun-loving personality shines. She gets the cutest zoomies, loves to play, and enjoys rubbing herself all over her favorite blankets and beds. She's even a good sport about bath time-it's not her favorite activity, but she handles it with grace. Celeste is looking for a family that will give her a little time to settle in and show her the patience she deserves. In return, she'll reward you with loyalty, sweetness, playful antics, and the joy of watching her confidence grow every day. Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
