About Vanilla Bean

Some dogs are espresso shots. Some are triple-caffeine cold brews with absolutely no regard for your personal schedule. Vanilla Bean? She's the warm vanilla latte you order once at a random cofee shop on your travels and then spend the rest of your life comparing every other drink to. Her overall temperament can best be described as a sweet, gentle soul with just the right amount of sweetness and absolutely none of the bitterness. In a world full of extra foam, caramel drizzle, and unnecessary drama, Vanilla Bean keeps things simple: love her people, enjoy life's little moments, and spread sweetness wherever she goes. 📍 Location: Hutchinson, KS -Adopters will need to come pick up their new furry family member themselves. Apply here: https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app At just 3 months old and already 28 pounds, Vanilla Bean is a female Great Pyrenees puppy who recently joined the Pyr Paws family alongside her sister, Sweet Cream. Before coming to rescue, life hadn't exactly handed these girls a whipped-cream-topped cup of happiness. They found themselves sitting in a shelter, scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of the world around them. And unfortunately, shy puppies often get overlooked. People tend to walk past the ones who don't immediately launch themselves into your lap or perform an interpretive dance for attention. But when the shelter reached out for help, we took one look at that sweet face and thought, "Who in the world says no to this?" So into the fluffy butt family she came. Vanilla Bean may be a little shy right now, but underneath that uncertainty is a puppy who deserves the chance to discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all. When it comes to other dogs, Vanilla Bean is like someone visiting a new coffee shop for the first time—finding a quiet corner, observing the regulars, and making absolutely sure nobody is weird before joining the conversation. Once comfortable, though, she is happy to engage in some light play and enjoys the companionship of other dogs. As for cats, her official review is currently pending. She has not yet had the opportunity to interview any feline applicants, so we'll have to leave that section of her report card blank for now. When it comes to kids, we expect Vanilla Bean would follow her standard operating procedure: observe first, participate later. She'll likely be shy initially but should do fine with patient, respectful children who understand that friendships are earned, not immediately downloaded. And new people? Well, Vanilla Bean firmly believes in conducting thorough background checks before handing out friendship privileges. In coffee terms, Vanilla Bean is not an instant coffee kind of girl. She's a slow brew. And as any coffee lover knows, the good stuff is worth the wait. ☕💕 On the energy scale, Vanilla Bean lands somewhere around a 5 out of 10. She has enough puppy energy to enjoy playtime, toys, and exploring the world, but she's not plotting to run a marathon through your living room at 2 a.m. As for whether she's an adventure dog or a homebody... honestly, she's still a baby. Asking a three-month-old puppy to choose between hiking mountains or binge-watching Netflix is a little premature. Our guess is she'll happily adapt to whatever lifestyle her family enjoys, provided it includes snacks, love, and regular opportunities to be told she's pretty. She's simply a sweet, gentle little soul who's still learning that the world is a pretty nice place. She enjoys toys. She enjoys water. She enjoys being loved. She's smooth, comforting, a little reserved, and exactly the kind of pup who slowly works her way into your heart until one day you realize that you cannot imagine life without her. Now, before anyone gets too comfortable imagining a perfectly trained little coffee shop companion, let's remember one important detail: Vanilla Bean is still a puppy. That means her future family will need to continue working on all the standard Puppy Barista Training Modules, including potty training, leash training, socialization, basic manners, and learning that not every item in the house was specifically placed there for puppy taste-testing purposes. Socialization will be one of the biggest ingredients in helping Vanilla Bean become her best self. Since she's naturally a little shy and reserved, her family should continue introducing her to new people, places, sounds, and experiences in positive ways so she can build confidence and learn that the world isn't nearly as scary as she once thought. Basic training should start early as well. And because she's a Great Pyrenees, it's important to understand that training a Pyr is often less about giving commands and more about entering into polite negotiations. They are incredibly smart dogs. Unfortunately, they are also aware that they are incredibly smart dogs. The good news? Vanilla Bean is a sweet, gentle little girl who genuinely wants to be part of a family. With patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and a sense of humor, she'll continue growing into the wonderful companion she's meant to be. Just remember: every great cup of coffee takes a little preparation. Think Vanilla Bean sounds like the perfect blend for your family? Then fill out an adoption application. Not a Facebook comment. Not a "Is she available?" message. Not positive thoughts sent into the universe. An actual application. Once submitted, we'll send it over to her foster family for review. If they think you're a good match, we'll move forward from there. And because Amazon has not yet figured out how to Prime Ship Great Pyrenees puppies, you'll need to come pick Miss Vanilla Bean up yourself in Hutchinson, Kansas.
