About Rain

If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to newleashrescue2018@gmail.com Rain is estimated to be 10-11 weeks old and already over 15 pounds. He's very likely going to be a big boy! He can be on the more vocal side when he can't be with his people. No apartments or townhomes where shared walls could be a concern are recommended. He is enjoying living on an acreage in his foster home currently, and a physical fenced in yard is preferred. He will do best with a family willing to take obedience classes with him, or one who has experience working with German Shepherds. He is a german shepherd mix. He is good with other dogs - he loves to play chase, and run around the yard. He is good with people and a sweet boy ready to find his forever home. He warms up pretty quickly with new people and situations. He is working on house training and crate training and doing pretty well for his age. He is neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and started on monthly preventatives. Adoption fee is $650+ tax (no checks) Email to contact: adopt@newleashrescue.org Please inquire if this pup will be attending any of our upcoming Saturday adoption events from 11-2pm at the Burnsville, Cottage Grove, or Maplewood PetSmart locations. Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
