Hi, I’m Terry — a 1-year-old Dachshund/Hound mix weighing about 19 pounds, and I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. These days, I’ve officially decided that attention is my favorite thing in the entire world. I live with three other dogs right now, but the second someone walks into the room, I make sure I’m the very first one there to greet them. Scratches? I’m in. Treats? Absolutely. Cuddles and attention? Even better. I want to be part of everything and make sure nobody forgets I’m there being adorable. When I first arrived, I was a little nervous and liked to hide off in the corner while I figured things out. But once I realized the humans here were nice and came bearing treats, pets, and love, it was completely game over for me. These days I’m all confidence, tail wags, and “please pay attention to me immediately” energy. I do great with the other dogs around me and really enjoy being social once I feel comfortable. I haven’t been cat tested yet, but that can be done upon request. I’m neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and ready to find a forever family that’s looking for a goofy, affectionate little sidekick who will happily keep them company wherever they go.
