About Clara

Clara is a small, curly-haired Bichon Frise mix who spent her early life with little human contact, but she’s blossoming in foster care. She does best in a calm, patient home and really needs a slow-paced environment. Clara gets along well with other dogs, so she’d love a confident canine buddy to help her continue coming out of her shell. She’s not used to a leash or crate, and will need a fenced yard since that training hasn’t happened yet. Potty training is going well but not perfect. One of Clara’s favorite things is to lounge in a shallow pool or even just a big water bowl. She is heartworm positive and started treatment, so she’ll need an adopter who can maintain her calm rest as well as the medication schedule her foster has begun. Clara is in Mt Pleasant, SC, and will make a gentle companion for a home willing to move at her pace. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
