Meet Lilz, one fifth of the adorable Alyssa litter! This 5-month-old Lab/Hound mix is ready to steal some hearts and find his fur-ever home. While this unique breed mix brings the friendly, goofy and fun-loving energy of a lab, it also comes with the affectionate, loyal and independent hound personality. If you’re looking for a lovable family member with big ears and a bigger heart, this little guy is ready to meet you! Lilz gets along well with the adults, children, littermates and other dogs in foster care. He is cautious when meeting new people—some treats and play time will help break the ice! We haven’t had the chance to see how Lilz interacts with cats. He likes to play outdoors with his littermates, snuggle on the couch, and is clean and quiet in the crate when the weather is bad. He’s even made great progress with house training! Lilz is a fence climber, so we recommend a home with a fence that’s over 4 feet. Like a typical hound puppy, he can be pretty vocal in play and towards strangers. Bringing a young puppy home is definitely not all kisses and rainbows! Like anything worthwhile, it takes a lot of work and patience. This 5-month-old is still learning the ropes and needs to learn household manners and basic commands. Investing time into positive obedience training and socialization right now is super important to help puppies grow into an amazing adult dogs. It’s very rewarding and fun, too! Are you ready to meet your new best friend? Fill out an application today! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
