About Bronte
Somewhere between a windswept moor and a coming-of-age novel, youâll find BrontĂ«âa sweet, quirky Great Pyrenees mix with an old soul. BrontĂ« is curious and tender, just brave enough to explore but quick to check that youâre close by if things get overwhelming. She watches the world with serious, observant eyes. She sometimes looks like the puppy protagonist of a classic story and occasionally forgets how gravity works. If youâve always wanted a puppy with dramatic literary energy who often stares out the window at the rain, BrontĂ« fits the part. At just 9 weeks old and about 7 lbs, BrontĂ« already has more backstory than most adult dogs. She was found abandoned with her siblings in a cemetery, rescued from a packed city shelter, and survived a tough battle with parvo. She rebounded, true to her character, and now delights her foster with joyful antics, loving cuddles, and a little bit of nonsense every day. Despite everything, sheâs remained soft at heart. BrontĂ« gets along well with other dogsâespecially her siblingsâand is a fan of playtime. Sheâs genuinely affectionate with kids, handling 7- and 9-year-olds with playful gusto and enthusiasm. She observes new people for a moment before jumping in for affection, making her a thoughtful introvert who warms up quickly. Cats are still an unknown for BrontĂ«. Sheâs active but not wild, fond of toys and adventure, but happiest as your loyal sidekick. Intuitive and gentle, she processes new things with care, and she appreciates patience and humor during training. Socialization and basic obedience will help BrontĂ« grow into her full potential. Sheâs a loyal companion, eager to join you for adventure and just as content relaxing close by. BrontĂ« is fostered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and adopters will need to pick her up in person.
