About Bear
Bear is a 13-year-old senior cat enjoying his golden years in foster care with Tabby & Jack's Stoughton. He’s a social guy, always ready for company and especially fond of people. Bear peacefully coexists with polite dogs and gets along easily with other cats—he doesn’t mind sharing his space if everyone keeps the peace. Birdwatching, cozy perches, and a good dose of catnip are among his favorite pastimes. Toys, ear rubs, and plenty of hugs are always welcome. He’s shaved right now and loves being combed, which helps prevent his long coat from getting tangled as it grows back in. Bear is thriving on a raw diet, and supplements like fish oil and joint support keep his skin and joints healthy as he navigates mild arthritis. He has tested FIV positive, but this only means he needs a bit more immune support—he can safely live a long life, even with other cats (so long as fights are avoided). He also has dental disease and mild, stable early kidney issues. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, and he tested negative for FeLV.
