About Taco
Taco is a lively, adventurous mixed-breed German Shepherd who thrives with an active lifestyle. He’s drawn to energetic people or families eager to take him along for outdoor adventures. Taco adores children and has shown he can get along well with kids of all ages, as long as introductions are handled thoughtfully. In playgroups at the shelter, he’s proved himself playful and enjoys the company of respectful dogs, but he does require a slow intro if there’s another canine at home. This smart boy already has an impressive trick list—Taco knows how to sit, shake, lie down, and even catch! While trained, he’s on the stronger side and working daily to improve his leash manners. Taco needs a home without cats, chickens, or other small animals, as he has a strong prey drive. He also has a history of door and fence escapes, so supervision outside is a must. Taco shines when he’s the center of attention and thrives on human companionship. He can be vocal, making him less suited to apartment life, and he’ll do best with someone present often. He weighs about 60lbs and is ready for a dedicated family eager to share adventures with him. Your new best friend is just one click away.
