Summer is a very sweet adult shepherd around 6 years old. She desperately wants to belong and have a normal dog life, but sadly she came to rescue severely feral. She was found on the streets of Bakersfield, where we believe she was born, and her instinct is to not trust humans. We have worked with her and helped her come a long way. I dont expect she will ever be free of fear, but she allows you to approach and pet and will roam and play with other dogs. If she is familiar with you she will seek some affection from you. If she is put in a situation beyond her normal shelter life, she gets worried and panics a little. She has never tried to bite or show any negative behavior; just gets afraid. We are hoping to find her the right home that would be patient with her and allow her to live out her life as a normal, happy dog.
