Pretty sure this dog’s head has its own gravity. “Artie” is all muscles but very gentle, like Terry Crews, but in canine form. We have tried to teach him to pec pop, but it’s still a work in progress. He will sit and offer his paw for a milkbone. He is house trained and pretty low maintenance. If you have long fingernails or one of those back scratchers/brushes he is a big fan. He is also very smell oriented, so he enjoys being allowed to wander an enclosed space to sniff and hunt out hidden treats. He has met other dogs here at the shelter and did really well. We introduced him to a puppy about a quarter his size, who with zero warning, walked up and bit him in the tender bits, and he just looked at us like “Would ya come get your girl?” We think he’d enjoy a dog who has a similar energy level and with whom he doesn’t need to wear a cup. He could potentially live peacefully with cats as well, with a proper slow introduction, and we think he would be fine with kids.
