About Cher
Cher is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix with a gentle, soulful presence and a knack for melting hearts. Weighing in at about 10 pounds, she’s a true cuddle bug—happiest nestled against you under a blanket or stretched out like a scarf on your shoulders. Cher adores soft spots, sunbathing, and tiny tennis balls, and she’s got a quirky personality that keeps everyone around her smiling. She came into rescue a bit shy after some tough times, but she’s flourished with patience and kindness. Cher gets along well with small dogs and does fine with cats, and she enjoys the company of calm canine friends. She’s also content being the only dog if someone is home much of the time. Cher is learning to trust and thrives in a quieter environment—sudden noises or rough handling still make her nervous, so an adult home or one with gentle kids suits her best. She’s making steady progress with house training, is food motivated, knows several commands, and walks nicely on a leash. Her small size means she needs a secure home and close supervision outside, as she can slip through tight spaces when frightened. Although she’s not crate trained, she respects boundaries and settles down after a bit of initial barking when left alone. Cher is ready for a patient adopter who’ll provide love, reassurance, and a cozy spot for her to call her own. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Cher
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Cher, as a Chihuahua, is best suited for an indoor, home-centered environment where she can feel safe and loved. Apartments and houses both work, provided she's kept secure and warm.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahua breeds like Cher don't need much outdoor space—a small, securely fenced yard or regular leashed walks are plenty. Safe, supervised outside time is more important than size of the yard.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Cher and other Chihuahuas are usually best with older, gentle children who understand small dog behavior, as they can be startled or nervous with rough play.
