About Eugene
Eugene is a 6-month-old Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler and Australian Shepherd mix, currently living with a foster in the South and soon to make his way to New England—all transport is included. This outgoing, medium-sized pup is known for his joyful energy and a smile that won over everyone during his rescue in Tennessee. Eugene thrives on attention and has a knack for making every adventure—big or small— memorable. Whether he's strutting his stuff, parading a favorite toy, or simply meeting strangers and children, Eugene loves being part of the scene. His playful, confident personality makes him ready for anything from long walks to new experiences with a lively family. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys an active home but does have a tendency to chase chickens, mostly out of curiosity. Eugene is doing well with potty training (his foster keeps him on a schedule) and is comfortable in his crate. He hasn't been tested with cats yet. Up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and house trained, Eugene is ready to settle in with a family that will continue his training and let his big personality shine. What are you waiting for?
