About Skylar
Skylar has survived more than most cats her age. At eleven months old, she has already cared for kittens and weathered a rare pregnancy complication called mammary hyperplasia while still just a kitten herself. Only one of her babies made it, but Skylar showed a will to press on, enduring hospital stays and wearing that dreaded cone while she healed. These days, she’s finished medical treatment, spayed, and enjoying a well-earned rest with her foster family in Terryville, CT. Her primordial pouch, a harmless reminder of what she’s been through, just adds to her charm. Now Skylar is finally experiencing kittenhood, discovering the pleasure of sunbeams and soft laps. She’s a sweet, resilient cat who keeps a spotless litter box and loves routine. Her vaccinations are current. She gets along with friendly dogs but really prefers to be the only cat, relishing the chance to be someone’s pampered companion — no feline competition wanted. Skylar is seeking a peaceful, loving home where her past can fade and the happy, easy days can begin. She is eager to meet and bond with the right person or family — come see if she’s the cat you’ve waited for. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
