About Marcus
Marcus is a gentle soul with a reserved, somewhat introverted personality who thrives best in a home with other dogs for companionship. Heās struggled with separation anxiety, especially as a solo petācrates and being left alone led to destructive behavior in his previous household. In foster care, Marcus is doing well when left at home (not kenneled) for up to four hours, especially with canine friends around. Heās house trained, though he may mark in new places, so his foster used a belly band when unsupervised; just be sure to change it regularly for his comfort. Marcus does great with catsāhe ignores them unless the dogs stir up chase games, in which case heāll join the pack. He likes getting attention, sharing a bed, and greets his people joyfully, though heās not the cuddliest guy. Marcus knows his name, comes when called, and walks nicely on a leash; after building trust, he can even go off leash in safe areas with good recall. Heās calm in the car and during baths, and generally prefers napping to playāheās not into toys and finds them awkward. Marcus would do best with steady company, whether itās other dogs, a retired person, or someone who works from home. He just wants to quietly be part of your day. Ready to meet your new best friend?
