About Heart
Heart is a gentle, resilient soul who narrowly escaped a bleak fate in South Korea. At just a year old, this small mixed-breed terrier was rescued from conditions most couldn’t imagine—wire cages, filth, and the constant threat of the meat trade. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated partners, Heart and his fellow survivors made the journey to a second chance and a real life. Now in Agoura Hills, CA, Heart is learning there’s more to life than survival. He thrives in the company of other dogs and isn’t the least bit phased by cats or children. Despite his background, Heart is house trained and approaches each day with open, trusting curiosity. He’s still adjusting, but kindness seems to come naturally to him. This is a dog who proves some are lucky enough to get a new beginning. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
