Meet Aster! At about 3 years old and 33 pounds, Aster is not exactly subtle. She's a big girl with a big personality and she fully embraces both! Aster came to us after being surrendered to a shelter by her previous owner. She sat there with no interest from adopters before eventually making her way to us, which honestly feels pretty hard to understand once you spend time with her. Since arriving, she's really come out of her shell and made herself known. And trust us...you know when Aster is around! She loves to run, play, explore, and be part of whatever is happening. She has energy for days and when she gets excited she starts bouncing around like a deer, launching herself into the air with these ridiculous little gazelle jumps that are impossible not to smile at. For a bigger girl, she can move. She absolutely loves other dogs, especially dogs that can keep up with her and appreciate a good play session. But after she's done zooming around and burning off energy, she is more than happy to come collect attention and cuddle up with her people too. Aster would do best with an active owner who wants a dog to actually do things with. Long walks? Great. Adventures? Even better. She's also very food motivated which makes training a lot more fun because she is very willing to participate when snacks are involved! Aster is fun. She's goofy.
