About Broccoli

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Say hello to Broccoli! He's a 4-year-old, 19-pound pug who is slowly learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Broccoli has experienced quite a bit of change in his life, having moved between multiple homes before coming into rescue. This instability has left him sensitive and sometimes hesitant in new situations. When overwhelmed, Broccoli may withdraw, but there’s clearly a wonderful dog beneath the surface just waiting to blossom. He is now in the delicate phase of rebuilding trust. Broccoli is naturally cautious in unfamiliar environments and takes time to feel secure, especially if things get busy or loud. He prefers slow introductions and thrives in calm settings, especially with other laid-back dogs. Once given a chance to settle, he interacts well in one-on-one situations and shows his gentle side. With humans, Broccoli is soft-spoken and tender. While he may not approach immediately, his watchful nature helps him adjust, and he opens up with patience and consistency. He is comfortable with children as long as they are calm and mindful of his boundaries. What Broccoli truly needs is a stable, quiet home with a reliable routine and someone who understands that building trust will take patience—but will absolutely be worth it. He is still young, with lots of potential to grow into a content, loving companion. If you can offer him the time and understanding he deserves, you'll uncover a deeply loyal friend. Broccoli is ready to find the soft place he can call home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
