Ruthie
AvailableRuthie is a tri-colored (brown, black, and white) beagle mix who lives in Raleigh, NC. She’s an adult female with a short coat, medium size, and is house trained. Ruthie is vaccinated and has not been spayed due to a heart condition that requires special care.
About Ruthie
Ruthie was born on Valentine’s Day 2023, and she’s a gentle, affectionate companion who weighs about 33 lbs. She thrives as a family dog, especially around children, and is both house, crate, and leash trained—though she’s content without the crate. Ruthie is smart and picks up new commands quickly, enjoying playtime with her foster dog siblings and leaving cats in peace. Her favorite things are hanging out at home, exploring a fenced yard, and going for relaxed walks. Ruthie lives with a serious heart condition—she was returned by former adopters after a heart murmur diagnosis as a puppy. Despite this, she’s done well for over a year and is still patiently waiting for a loving, permanent home. Ruthie’s adoption comes with continued cardiologist support from the rescue. Surgery for spaying isn’t safe for her, so she must remain protected from unneutered male dogs. Ruthie is available for a two-week foster-to-adopt period for adult dog homes. She’s an affectionate soul ready to teach and receive love in a safe home. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
