Meet Marbles – A Sweet, Loving Companion Marbles truly lives up to her name—she has a gentle, “sweet and loving” personality that’s easy to fall in love with. We first met her when she ran up to us after being left behind along the roadside. She was clearly scared and searching for safety, and from that moment on, we formed a special bond. In fact, she rode home perched on my shoulder the entire way. We took her to our veterinarian as soon as possible to get her checked and treated. She handled everything calmly without any fuss. She has the softest, quietest little meow—you have to listen closely to hear it. Marbles absolutely loves being around people. Most of the time, you’ll find her curled up on a lap or stretched out on someone’s chest, happily napping where she feels safe and loved (which can make working at a desk a bit of a challenge!). She is also wonderful with children. One of our favorite stories is when our grandson was lying on the floor, and Marbles walked right up and settled herself comfortably on his back—he loved every minute of it. Still a young cat, Marbles enjoys playtime and has a playful, affectionate way of interacting. She may occasionally give gentle “love bites” when she wants attention, never enough to hurt, and she’ll usually follow them with sweet licks right after. The only reason we are rehoming Marbles is due to severe cat allergies within our family. Otherwise, we would never consider letting her go. A couple of additional notes: We’ve had her since she was a kitten, and once she builds trust, she is incredibly affectionate and devoted. She has lived with one older cat who isn’t very playful, but they coexist peacefully. We feel grateful to have been part of Marbles’ journey and to have helped her feel safe and loved. Now we’re hoping to find her a new home where she can continue to thrive and share her gentle, loving nature. Marbles is spayed, front declawed, and up to date on vaccines.
