Montana (approximately 47 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from an overcrowded shelter in Texas. She is estimated to be a senor lady at 8 years old, but apparently no one told Montana, because she definitely does not act like a senior! Montana has plenty of energy and definitely pulls on leash like a younger dog. We suspect that she was never walked on leash prior to her surrender, so her new person or family should be able to help her pick up this skill with a little training. Montana is SO SWEET and affectionate that it is easy to overlook her leash manners; she loves people and is always happy to make new human friends. She participated in doggie play groups and did well with the other dogs there, once again being surprisingly playful for a dog her age.
