Meet Candy! This beautiful 3–5 year old Cocker Spaniel is finally getting the chance to experience what it means to simply be loved. Candy came to us as a breeder release dog, meaning she spent her life living in a kennel and being used only for breeding. Now, this sweet girl is ready for a fresh start and a forever family of her own. Shockingly, Candy is not nearly as shy as many breeder release dogs we’ve rescued in the past. While she can still be a little timid in new situations, she truly wants companionship and affection. You can see how badly she wants to trust and be part of a loving home. Candy absolutely loves other dogs and feels much more comfortable when she has a canine friend around. Because of this, another friendly dog in her forever home would be ideal and would help her continue building confidence. She weighs about 15 pounds and has the sweetest, most gentle temperament. Candy is currently working hard on crate training and house training and is eager to please. She’s learning that life can be safe, comfortable, and full of love. Candy will be fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on vaccines, meaning she will never have to endure another litter again. She’ll also receive a health certificate prior to adoption.
