About Pepper
Pepper is a large, grey domestic shorthair who lost her previous home when her person couldn’t care for her or the other household cat any longer. While her former owner thought she’d lost significant weight, Pepper surprised everyone arriving at almost 14 pounds. She’s just been diagnosed with diabetes and is starting on a daily liquid medication called Zenvelgo. Her transition has been a mix of nerves and resilience—by the first night in her foster home, Pepper found a lap and soaked up head rubs and snuggles. She had tough times in her previous home, getting bullied by her brother, but she’s also peacefully coexisted with other cats. Pepper does well with gentle children and enjoys a calm household, dreaming of a peaceful retirement full of cozy moments. She’s house trained and responds warmly to affection, happy for a soft spot and a gentle companion. Ready to settle in for good, Pepper is hoping her next home will be her last.
