About Theon

Meet Theon, a striking and playful 11-month-old German Shepherd mix brimming with joy and resilience. At 39 pounds now and likely to reach about 50 pounds, Theon hits that sweet spot of being compact enough for your daily adventures but solid enough to join in on more rugged outings. He’s all about play—if there’s a person or another dog nearby, Theon dives in, and when left to his own devices, he keeps himself happy with toys. This outgoing pup relishes canine company and has handled meeting other animals, including horses, with quiet curiosity and grace. While his experience with cats isn’t confirmed, he’s been very appropriate and neutral around new animals so far. Theon’s beginning was rough: found in Los Angeles with a rope embedded in his neck, he clearly spent much of his early life tied up and neglected. Against the odds, he’s emerged exceptionally kind, gentle, and hungry for connection. Despite his past, he’s wholeheartedly trusting and eager to learn. He’s food motivated, leash-savvy, and loves the outdoors—water, ball games, trail walks, you name it. He even manages car rides well after a short adjustment. Theon is house trained and enjoys people, showing a gentle innocence and readiness to bond. He gets along with other dogs and is looking for a family that will finally give him the safe, respected life he deserves. Click apply to start the adoption process.
