About Big Buddy

Big Buddy spent time on the streets before ending up in rescue down in Tennessee, and now he’s looking for stability. He’s got an easy charm—loves people and is especially good with kids. The rescue believes he’s a Boxer mix with a soft spot for anyone he meets. Currently, he’s been kept in a kennel too long and it’s wearing him down physically and emotionally; shelter life has been tough, and he has lost weight. He really needs a break and someone patient enough to give him time, attention, and training—he still acts like an overgrown puppy at heart. Buddy has not had the best luck with other dogs lately, so for now, he needs a home where he can be the only pet soaking up all the attention. He’s best for someone who spends a lot of time at home, maybe retired and craving a companion. A full, fenced-in yard is non-negotiable, and only homeowners will be considered. Buddy’s leash skills are solid, but house training is still a work in progress. Adoption happens on a foster-to-adopt basis to make sure it’s a good fit all around. If you live in NJ (or possibly PA, depending on the location), Buddy is waiting to be your sidekick. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
