I am a standard poodle or poodle mix, estimated to be between 4-5 years old. I am the sweetest, most loyal boy to MY humans and anyone else I feel like I can trust. I enjoy several shorter walks each day or longer walks in the mornings and evenings (at least once a day). My leash manners are still a work in progress, as I am easily distracted by squirrels, other dogs and sometimes people. I love to go on hikes and any other adventures you'll take me on. I do well in the car, even on long road trips. He is good with female dogs but not male dogs... I can be a little uncertain with new people I meet, sometimes men make me feel uneasy, so I need my forever home to have the time and patience to help me grow my confidence and consistently train me a little each day. I do not do well with small, younger kids and most of the time even teenagers can be a little overwhelming to me. I am an indoor dog and definitely need to be in a single-family home (no apartments) with a fenced in yard where I can run and play, then return to the comforts of inside with my people. I love to play with toys and I get the zoomies at least a couple times a day. So far, I get along with and play well with all of the female dogs I've met, but I do not like other male dogs. I haven't been around cats, but I do have a very high prey drive, so a home with cats probably isn't the best fit. I am potty trained, crate trained and am not destructive. My ideal day is following my humans around from room to room, napping near you whenever I get the chance. I love to be touching my humans when I sleep and if you let me sleep on your bed, we'll be lifelong buddies. My favorite treats are apple pieces, carrots, strawberries, blueberries and nectarines. I am neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, and up to date on my heart worm, flea, tick and intestinal parasite prevention. I do require daily brushing (which I'm still getting used to) and professional grooming every 8 weeks. My crate, dog bed, harness, leash, toys and a bag of dog food are all included. Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee. Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs.
