About Sampson

Sampson is being fostered in Waukesha WI Introducing Sampson! This cutiepatootie black bi Border Collie Mix is just the sweetest boy ever! His date of birth is 9/1/2020. He currently weighs 75lbs. but he is on a diet and an exercise regimen in his foster home to shed about 30lbs and be the size of a regular dog. He came in at 79lbs. Sampson is great with other dogs, cats and kids! He doesn't love an intact male dog but he is respectful of them when they are not in his face. He is just a gem with everyone he meets. He really LOVES his humans and would love nothing more than to have humans to call his own. He is loving, affectionate, easy going and just wants to be loved! He is potty trained and crate trained, but he really doesn't need a crate. He would be fine as an only dog or with a bunch of dogs! Sampson would love a home that will help him get to his ideal weight which is about 50lbs. He has already shed a few pounds at his foster home! YAY! Being this overweight isn't healthy for him or his joints, so losing the weight is critical for his health and well being. Sampson would be happy with a fenced yard, but he isn't a flight risk and would also be fine without one and someone that would take him for walks. Sampson is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, negative for all tick borne diseases and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm. Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization. For more information on our adoption process or to complete an adoption application, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. NOTE: All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in. Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application. We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family. MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives. www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org
