About Mollie
Mollie is fostered near Novi, Michigan, and she's the kind of dog who wants to be your shadow and your comedian. At just over 2 years old and around 30 lbs, this Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix brings goofy energy and heart to spare. Her foster calls her the “goofiest girl”—she’s always looking for a way to put a smile on your face, whether that’s flopping across the couch or nuzzling in for a cuddle. Under her loving, silly exterior, Mollie is working on her confidence: she’s shy at first, but once she trusts you, loyalty and affection pour out in spades. Mollie is a solid leash walker who enjoys her walks, adores treats (especially cheese), and already knows sit, down, and shake. She’s been learning to wait and leave it, and she handles distractions on walks like a pro. She truly gets along well with other dogs, as long as they’re gentle and not pushy—submissive personalities help her feel secure, while pushy dogs knock her off balance. Her ideal home isn’t loud or bustling with small kids; she needs calm and predictability. Herding breed experience is strongly preferred, and a physical fence is highly recommended. Another dog is fine, as long as it matches her style, but isn’t required. Mollie is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She’s house trained. Proof of heartworm prevention is required for adoption. Mollie’s a classic Aries—she’ll keep you on your toes and, once she decides you’re family, she’ll never leave your side.
