Bear (A142077) is an 11-year-old Chow Chow who weighed 55.8 pounds on intake! 05/13/26 This refined older pup is Bear! Bear was surrendered to the shelter because his owner felt they could no longer provide him with the care he needed. Bear was said to suffer from separation anxiety after his doggy friend in the home passed away. He may enjoy having another canine friend in his next home, but it is important that appropriate introductions are made to help set him up for success. In his last home, Bear was also said to do well with cats! It was noted that Bear can be stubborn and does not always mind the best. However, he does know his basic commands, rides well in a car, is kennel-trained, and housebroken! He would love to find a home where he can live out his senior years with more constant companionship. Bear was also said to do well with children, strangers, and women! Courtesy of the shelter fund, Bear was sent out for a dental cleaning and had numerous extractions. He will likely need soaked or softened food for the rest of his life.
