Priscilla may not live at Graceland, but she absolutely carries herself like royalty. This approx. five-year-old Maltese mix arrived a little unsure of the spotlight, easily startled by new sounds and quick movements, often retreating to her “cubby” crate like a starlet escaping the flashing cameras. But just like her famous namesake, once she realized she was safe and adored, her true personality began to shine. These days, she happily lounges beside her people on the couch, soaking up pets and brushing sessions while keeping a watchful eye on her kingdom. She’s sweet, affectionate, and devoted — the kind of companion who quickly becomes your little shadow — though she still keeps a touch of sass worthy of a Presley. Priscilla has mastered the art of house training and politely lets you know when she needs to go out by pacing or heading for the back door. She enjoys the finer things in life: cozy dog beds, relaxing in her crate, tasty meals with softened kibble and canned food mixed in, and the occasional treat she may attempt to “borrow” from another dog if given the opportunity. While she’s cautious around other pups at first, she’s beginning to discover her playful side, recently initiating games with toys and joining the fun for short bursts before returning to her composed diva demeanor. She knows “sit,” responds to directions to go into her cubby, and only barks when there’s truly something worth announcing. Outdoors is where Priscilla channels her inner rock-and-roll energy. She loves strutting ahead on walks like she’s leading her own tour, though she’s still working on leash manners. She adores running around outside and will happily follow the excitement if another dog spots a squirrel or bird. Though she can occasionally get a little mouthy during play, she’s otherwise respectful in the home and doesn’t chew things she shouldn’t. Beneath her glamorous straight coat hides soft curly fur that requires regular brushing to keep her looking stage-ready and mat-free. Priscilla is searching for a patient, loving home where she can continue building confidence, stealing hearts, and living like the beloved queen she was always meant to be. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs.
