Lovey is a sweet and gentle 1.5-year-old Aussie/Lab mix with the most striking beautiful blue eyes! She is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. New experiences can be a little scary for her at first, but with patience, love, and encouragement, she continues to grow more confident every day. She is housebroken, food motivated, and enjoys a calmer lifestyle rather than being constantly on the go. Lovey would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and continue building her confidence at her own pace. A resident confident dog would also be a huge bonus for her. Once she trusts you, (which can be easily accomplished with treats) her affectionate personality truly shines. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
