Hi, I’m Osito — which means “little bear” in Spanish, and honestly… have you seen my face? Accurate. I’m about 1 year old, and I came here from Puerto Rico but ended up in the Newark Shelter. I’m currently living in a foster home in Blairstown, New Jersey. I’m super smart, hilarious, athletic, and FULL of personality. I love structure, learning new things, and staying busy. I’m house trained, know basic commands, and I’m even trained to exercise on a treadmill. Yes, really. My favorite things? -Frisbee -Tug toys -Running -Learning -Making people laugh daily I’d thrive with an experienced owner who understands working-dog brains and wants to continue my training and mental enrichment. I’m not looking to sit around all day — I want a teammate. I love playing with other dogs and can play pretty intensely, so I’d do best with confident, balanced dogs who enjoy rough-and-rowdy play and can match my energy appropriately. I’d do best in a single-family home because I do have some strong opinions about being left alone, and I prefer not to share walls with neighbors.
