This 3 - 5 year old, 22 pound beagle radiates sweetness. He's gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he's near his people or curled up with another dog. His house manners are excellent — he's never had an accident and uses the dog door like a pro. Bugs loves having a fenced yard where he can trot around and do a few joyful zoomies each day. Inside, he's a calm, content companion who enjoys napping near the resident beagles, watching the world go by from the front window, and playing with his beloved toys. Evening snuggles are a must in his book. He rides beautifully in the car and sleeps soundly in a dog bed next to his foster mom. Bugs isn't a big fan of the crate, but he doesn't need one — he can be trusted alone as long as chewable items are put away. Walks are still new to him, but he gains confidence when he has another dog by his side. He'd do best in a home with a friendly canine companion. Bugs recently completed heartworm treatment with no symptoms and will need a retest in October, along with lifelong monthly prevention. He also tested positive for Lyme, ehrlichia, and anaplasmosis and completed a month of doxycycline without any symptoms. Bugs has loved every child he's met and would be thrilled to join an active, loving family who enjoys playtime, cuddles, and lots of love.
