About Lola

Fostered In: Centralia, WA Adoption Fee: $350 Vaccines: DAPP, Lepto, & Bordetella Spayed, Microchipped, Dewormed, Treated for fleas Lola came to us after her stray hold was up, and we can only imagine what this sweet girl has been through. When she was found wandering alone, she was severely emaciated with a body condition score of just 2/9. She was also post-partum, but sadly no puppies were ever found, and we may never know what happened to them. Since coming into rescue on 4/27, Lola has spent the last several weeks finally getting the care, safety, and rest she desperately needed. For the first couple of weeks, all she wanted to do was eat and sleep - her body had so much recovering to do. Since then, she has been treated for fleas, dewormed, vaccinated, spayed so she never has to go through another litter again, and most importantly, loved. Now that Lola has had time to decompress in her foster home, her personality is starting to shine through. She is a laid back, easygoing girl who truly enjoys the simple things in life: comfy beds, warm sunshine, good meals, and quiet companionship. Lola spends about 98% of her day happily lounging, stretched out on her giant dog bed or soaking up the sunshine outside. While she may be a little "lazy," she absolutely adores attention from her foster parents and enjoys wandering around the yard or going for leisurely walks - and she walks beautifully on leash. She is potty trained and uses a doggy door reliably. Lola has an old soul kind of personality. She doesn't ask for much and seems happiest just relaxing near her people and finally feeling safe. Because of everything she has likely endured, she prefers her own space and does not enjoy other dogs being close to her. She can become growly when dogs invade her space, so we believe Lola would thrive best as the only dog in the home where she can be spoiled and adored like the princess she deserves to be. We don't know what Lola's life looked like before rescue, but we do know it wasn't easy. What we do know now is that this sweet girl deserves a home full of love, soft beds, warm sunshine, and people who will cherish her for the rest of her life.
