Meet one of the Summer Beverage pups! Eight puppies were found loose on a country road at the end of April. They appeared to be about 5-6 weeks old at the time. There were 5 larger pups and 3 very small pups. Crush is one of the large puppies, weighing in at about 6 lbs when he was rescued. We do not know breed mix for sure, but he and all the other larger pups just look like Black Lab fluff balls. That could be definitely be wrong -- there was no sign of any adult dogs where the puppies were found, so we just do not know. Our vet estimates that the larger pups will be in the 50-70 lbs range when full grown. At a little over 8 weeks old, Crush weighed 10.3 lbs, so he looks like he is in the middle of that range - either on the high end of a medium size or the low end of a large size adult dog. The puppies are all very happy in nature with the sweet disposition that Labs are known for. We know they will make a fun addition to whatever homes they join. We can't call them house trained, but they do have a head start on training as they use a doggy door regularly and only go inside if they can't get outside.
