Pebbles is a 1 1/2-year-old pit bull terrier with a soft, white-and-brindle coat. She’s gentle and affectionate once she knows you, but she starts out reserved and nervous around new people. Patience is key—Pebbles needs time to settle in and feel comfortable, especially in unfamiliar situations. Because of her sensitivity, she won’t be placed in a home with children. She really bonds with women and is ambivalent with men, never aggressive, just wary and scared. She might enjoy life with a friendly male dog, but she isn’t fond of other females and doesn’t do well with cats.
