About Daisy
Daisy arrived at the shelter in tough shape after likely fending for herself without proper care. Her body was gaunt, with visible ribs and hip bones, and she had sores on her joints and tail—signs she’d been confined in poor conditions for a long time. She was skittish at first, hesitant even to take food from a gentle hand, but patience and slow, steady feeding started to break through her distrust. It’s clear Daisy never knew regular meals or a clean place to rest before landing at the shelter. Medically, she was underweight but has started to put on pounds with care and proper food, gaining confidence along with her health. Despite her history, Daisy has shown a playful, goofy side, bucking and wiggling when she’s happy or receiving body scratches. She now enjoys toys and seeks attention, and her coat looks brighter as she recovers. Daisy is not yet house trained and needs someone who can commit to helping her build a sense of security and routine. She needs sunscreen for her nose and face—her skin burns easily—and treats must be chicken free. Daisy’s journey hasn’t been easy, but she’s slowly opening up. She’ll thrive with patience and stability from an adopter ready for a long-term project. Start your journey together! Apply now.
