About Nyx

Meet Nyx, the quiet little heartbeat of her foster trio. As a foster mate to Elara and Twinkle Toes, Nyx has shown she can be the gentle glue that holds everyone together. She gets along beautifully with other cats and kittens, slipping easily into group dynamics and offering the kind of calm presence that makes every space feel a little softer. Nyx's beginning was anything but simple. She was found as a tiny, helpless lass after her mother was trapped during a TNR effort. Once mom was spayed, she abandoned the remaining litter — leaving Nyx alone for more than 24 hours and in desperate need of an experienced bottle feeder. Despite that rocky start, Nyx thrived with care, proving herself to be adaptable and full of quiet strength. Today, Nyx is the perfect blend of calm yet playful and social yet serene. She loves playtime with her kitten friends, but she's also a championship napper who can fall asleep in a sunbeam moments after a spirited game of chase. She's affectionate without being demanding, friendly without being overwhelming, and steady in a way that brings balance to any home. Nyx would be a wonderful addition for anyone looking to welcome a kitten — or even a pair — into their family. She's the kind of kitten who helps other pets feel at ease and helps people feel at home. If your household could use a little harmony wrapped in a soft, whiskered package, Nyx is ready to bring her gentle magic your way. Everybody loves kittens, and it's easy to see why! Kittens four months old or younger are only adopted out in pairs or to homes that already have a friendly, playful resident cat. Young kittens simply do not thrive in isolation, and we do not make exceptions. If you're looking for a single cat, please look to our older kittens, teens, or adults. They're wonderful companions and fully ready to be your one-and-only. All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
